Return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a forest hike to learn about medicinal plants and jungle survival techniques.
Visit to a riverside community to learn about the local way of life and participate in cultural activities.
Return to the lodge for dinner and free time to relax.
The day starts early with a canoe ride at 5:30 a.m. to watch the sunrise and get a close-up view of the forest awakening to a new day. After breakfast at 7:00 a.m., it’s time for a trail through the jungle where I will explain about medicinal plants, as well as other interesting facts about the nature around us. Sometimes, there is a chance to spot monkeys. Afterwards, we return to the camp for lunch.
The afternoon activity begins at 3:00 p.m. It’s time to go canoeing! We will explore the igarapés and, if we’re lucky, you might spot some wildlife. After that, we head back to the camp for dinner. We will go caiman spotting after dinner. Your guide will catch one in the water and you’ll have the chance to see it up close and learn more. It will then be carefully released back into its habitat, and we will return to the camp to spend the night.
Day 3
From 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the group will set out on one of the best jungle trails to explore more of the Amazon and also what can be used to survive here, such as fruits, plants, or other creatures found within it. Afterwards, we will return to the camp to prepare lunch over a campfire!
In the afternoon, before the group moves to another campsite, we will have a one-hour (or longer) visit to the community to learn how to make your own customized bracelet. After setting up camp, we will go fishing for piranhas, as well as other fish species. We then head to the camp to prepare our dinner. After dinner, we will take a night trail through the forest and engage in some jungle activities.
Day 4
After breakfast, the group will depart by boat to navigate through the channels and small igarapés (depending on the water level). This is a great chance to spot wildlife such as sloths and monkeys. After an exciting trip, we will head to our next campsite and settle in for the night.
The group will spend the afternoon exploring a new area of the forest before nightfall, then return to camp. In the evening, you will go out by boat with a flashlight and learn how locals in this area use spears to fish among the small igarapés and lakes of the region. Afterwards, return to the camp to spend the night.
Day 5
After breakfast, we will visit the home of some riverside dwellers, chat with them a little, and learn about how they live and many other things. Afterwards, we return to the camp for lunch and some relaxation before heading back to Manaus. We will depart at 2:00 p.m., arriving in Manaus around 4:30 p.m.
